Next Wave Festival of Brooklyn Academy of Music showcases the work of emerging contemporary artists emerging from around the glob. The conceptualisation of the event booklet borrows elements from the venue architecture, the curtain falling, and the literal wave in their name. This visual metaphor is continuously used in the booklet interior as a image container, as well as a graphic element. The typographic system also tries to compliment the rhythm of imagery.
